Can't connect to servers

I've a domain with a few emails, once I start my PC I'm able to send/receive emails. If PC get idle for some time then I can't connect to server or send emails. I get below error "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.xxxxxxxxx.com is unknown. The server may be incorrectly configured. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again."

If I restart my PC it gets connected again and I can send/receive emails, but once again if it goes idle I start getting same errors. Sometimes I do not restart and keep working on my PC just to see popups about incoming emails (start receiving/sending again )

Where can I look what's happening or why?

Hello there 69 text.

For Smtp port in your second picture that you have send me. Change you’re port number into 587 instead of 465. Port 993 for default imap (server)on the third picture.

Better use 587 as your port number. Use port 456 if you can t. But they stil use this.

Use port 25 if you must it is changed in 2525 because there was to many blocking on that port number by ISP. Better a not usable port number with this configuration then beter to use this port number.

Port 587 is a quiet usable port for this moment in 2021. With better functions for sending mail at the moment in 2021.

But use a good antivirus. Do you already use this ,witch one do you use?

Change the port number and it will be fixed. Try to change it and send me a message.

Thank you so much День сумо for looking at this issue, I've attached you errors messages, Like I've previously said after error, Thunderbird gets connected and send/receive emails, sometimes I need to restart my PC sometimes get fixed spontaneously.

Oké I recieved the message,can you show me how did you configured your Smtp settings. Are they like discribed in the manual account configuration as I had send you?

If your going to use multiple server settings then please read this form. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Multiple_SMTP_servers_%28Thunderbird%29

sometimes settings are no longer what they should be, maybe after an update, for example, they may have come together and be placed incorrectly.

Also some machines PC may or have older settings or these have been entered by the user. And show an error. These can be changed.

Disable add- ons and start up in safe modus will help. When you’re errors still appears then there s something wrong like other things maybe with system inside you’re pc machine. If you’re errors are disappeared after add on s off and startup in safe modus. Then probably the add ons can be the cause.

This issue here is about wrong Smtp value. So you can read the forms and fill in the correct value s for Smtp.

Try to see if port 25 is available and open in your Smtp settings ,or what did you fill in for the port number exactly? If this problem stil excist then look for the Antivirus program you use and see for the Firewall settings. Maybe this causes a problem for connecting to the mail server. Just replace some settings to find out how to do right.

Thank you so much for the time you're taking to look at my issue. I do not have any add-on at all. I also don't believe its a smtp/config/pass issue, because how come Thunderbird has this error and then behave like it should, without changing any configuration? I also notice that when error occurs I do have internet, its not that I don't have connection. Maybe some PC program/config its blocking thunderbird? don't know hence i'm asking here. I'm attaching you three screenshots here, first one its my hosting Config setting, and my thunderbird SMTP/IMAP config.

Hey День сумо I took a few days to check if the problem was solved and yes It's solved! I've changed the outgoing port to 587 and now its working smoothly.
