How do I transfer the code thing from my camera to Firefox ? I am a greenhorn ! Sorry ! 

Windows 10 is correct !  There is a bar code thingy in my camera . I aimed it at the Firefox and clicked  and  I guess it took  a picture.  Please tell me what to do with it and how to do  what you say   . It is a Canon digital photography camera

Hi, what is the reason the camera is displaying a barcode -- is this to transfer files using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?

Most likely you need to point your phone's camera or computer's webcam at the barcode to read it with that device. However, if there are some online instructions for your camera, it probably would be a good idea for me to look at those.

Using Sync is optional. You can close the tab once you have created the Sync account if you do not want or can't add a mobile device. Note that Sync isn't meant to be used as a backup and with only one device usefulness is limited.
