Print Preview not printing what it is showing
Hi, Since a couple of days ago the "Print Preview" feature is not working properly again. I think we had an browser update. We had another one today and I was hoping the problem was going to be fixed but it was not.
I have the Print set to old (false) mode. I have used this mode for years to print all of my documents and webpages.
This is what is happening. I do my print preview and adjust the scale number accordingly. The print preview shows, I adjust number of pages, preferences etc. then hit print.
The page that prints is not complete. Is missing the part of the right side and bottom. I have not changed any printer settings. I have also changed it back to the NEW(true) printer mode an the exact thing happens. It happens with both webpages and documents. I first realized what what going on when I printed my bank statement and it was missing the right side and bottom of each page.
THIS IS NOT PRINTER PROBLEM!!!!! Using the EGDE and Explorer browsers, the pages print perfectly so it has to be a Firefox problem.
Can you please help me solve this problem. I hate to have to use another browser just to print. I have enclosed pictures of what is happening.
Amy

The Firefox 90.0.1 release notes, in addition to listing a number of fixed bugs, mention the following issue as "unresolved": Printing a page with scaling may result in truncated output (bug 1720621)
This problem will be fixed in an upcoming release.
Hi Alice,
Thank you for your response.
When I click on the Bug 1720621 under tracking status firefox90 it says "fixed" Also on the very upper left corner it says closed two days ago. My latest version is 90.0.1. I checked today and the problem has not been fixed. I print all the time and this bug is preventing me from printing unless I go to another browser. How much longer until it is fixed?????
Thank you,
Amy
Hi Amy, it is fixed in Firefox 91.0, which is still in beta testing.
We are hopeful that it will be released as an interim update for Firefox 90, but I don't have information on whether or when that might happen.

Hi Alice,
Thank you so much for the update. I updated Firefox to 90.0.2 and it is back to working correctly.
I have a quick question. When using the NEW Print Mode. I was able to find how to scale the page Etc. Is there a way to do print quality also? In the OLD print mode you do print preview, then print and a window comes up where you can click on preferences and you can choose print quality: standard, high or draft. I could not find it in the New Print mode. I prefer using the OLD print mode but just in case I want to use the NEW one, I would like to know how to chose the print quality.
Thank you,
Amy
Amylogamy, I can't help with your your new question about print quality. Hopefully someone else can answer.
Thank you!!!

Hi Amy, you would need to click the link "Print using the system dialog..." to access the printer preferences dialog. You'll recognize it because it's what you got using the Print button from the old preview screen.
