My W10 PC Firefox browser updated to v96 today and has introduced changes to light/dark modes. There was a cog for setting so I cycled it between light and dark modes to my preferred light mode. However pop-ups and Firefox settings pages come in dark mode. Can't now locate the cog for mode settings and can't find mode changes in Firefox settings either. Didn't have this issue before the update today. It's not a biggy, but just a bit frustrating...

Now discoverd that the cog was when on google search page. The setting for light/dark modes are not very robust (seems to do what it wants). However I do get pop-ups when on other sites that appear dark when main page is light. Also Firefox settings are dark mode. Don't know if ther is some negative interaction between firefox and google light/dark mode settings???

Thanks for the reply. I will see if it helps. Another feature of this is that even though light mode is selected, on webstites that have drop-down lists to select dates etc from, the drop-down is black and only the currently selected date is visible in th list against a white background. All the other selectable dates are invisible as the dates are black characters on a black backgound.

I think they are trolling us a bit with these dumb design choices, at this point - just to read their support forums for a laugh for a few weeks. I personally cannot see any other reason why they'd force these ridiculous settings upon everyone.
