Wondering if it is possible to add an email that has been received in Thunderbird, to an event/entry in the Calendar? Using 91.9.1 (64-bit). Thanks.

Not sure if you understood completely? For example, I receive an email, that gives me time/date of an appointment. So I go to Thunderbird Calendar, and create an event for the appointment, but would also like to attach/link the email, as it includes more information... All the information already exists in Thunderbird, would just like to create a link from the event I created, that immediately opens the relevant email, so I easily have access to all the info contained in the email... Thanks.

Hello there again Hornetser.

How to add a email to your calander.

Can you create a link or a email link into your calander ,Thunderbird?

A bypass solution is to add the URL in the "location" field of the event. In that case, when you get the event notification (e.g. 1 minute before the meeting starts) the URL in the location field appears clickable.

(It doesn't fully reply to your request, since many events come as invitations from other people, and in that case the URL is part of the description and is not clickable. the only solution to that is to highlight the importance of the older bug in in bugzilla and this newer one and hope it gets implemented soo.)

But I would think it is standard email/calendar functionality?? An email comes in, "Oh, I would like to set a reminder for that in my calendar..." "Whoops, can't do that" (except VERY manually...) Sorry, doesn't make sense.

Sorry, don't believe you can understand what I am asking... Has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with watches, or getting notification when you recieve an email. No worries, thanks.

Thanks! That's basically what I am after, couple of things would improve it: Being able to also easily include the attachment of the email, would be good. Gives some sort of a link at the bottom, that doesn't do anything? (eg: mid:OCMD....626.3...8@sydapp097lx.fxdms.net?? What is that??

Thanks.
