I can see from the list of e-mails and some have attachments. When I open the e-mail there is no sign of the attachment, (unless it is mentioned in the e-mail, or notice the paper clip in the index of e-mails). If I start to 'forward' the e-mail the link to the attachment appears at the bottom of the screen.

How can I reset it so the attachment window appears normally?

Thank you.

does the attachment have a consistent file type perhaps? Some file types like ICS files are not displayed, but instead read and displayed to create appointments etc.

Thanks Matt for your help. No, it is normally Word or pdf file attachments.

Since writing my initial query, I think I may have a little more information. Sometimes I have noticed the attachment link right at the bottom of the message (partially obscured) on the edge of the bottom of the page. Therefore it 'proves' it is there, but I can't always see it. I need to increase the window size of the e-mail fractionally. Will dragging the bottom of the frame increase the window size, or just bring the whole e-mail into a bigger window but not bringing in any extra information?

Perhaps try double clicking the windows header (that maximizes the windows and should bring things to an optimized maximum size)

Sorry, I have taken the 'thick pills' today !!!

Where do you mean the 'windows header' ?
