Not sure what you mean, but there's no setting to make a message appear multiple times. With the precious little information you've provided I can only guess… let's see… maybe you have a Message Filter that forwards that message to yourself, which then causes the same filter to be applied to the forwarded copy, and so on…
Do you mean 23 tabs? If so, close the tabs and try to become aware of what you are doing to open tabs that you do not want open.
Right-click any tab, Close Other Tabs, to restore a readable display. Consider using the Message Pane (F8) to read mail.
