Firefox doesn't connect to internet but other programs can (such as Internet Explorer). I've tried all the tips but it still doesn't connect to internet. What can I do?

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

I uploaded a newer version of Firefox

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)

Firefox doesn't connect to internet but other programs can (such as internet explorer). I've tried all the tips but it still doesn't connect. Just so we're clear, when you say "I've tried all the tips" are you referring to the Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can article?
