After Firefox updated to version 3.6.10, certain websites like gamespot.com and buddytv.com are not rendering correctly. The formatting of the pages is being lost, and they take very long to load. Is this a bug in the update?

I'm using 3.6.12 on WinXP had having the same trouble with http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/ and parts of the CNN complex.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

-SAFE-MODE- Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
