can't get out of full screen f11 doesn't work, hp new laptop

Open the Windows Task Manager > Processes tab and kill the firefox.exe process.

Does that laptop have an F-lock or Fn key key?

You you hover the mouse to the top then the Navigation toolbar should appear.
If you right-click that bar then you get a context menu with an "Exit Full Screen Mode" entry.
