My search window searches used to be alphabetically, now they are not. How do you make them stay in alphabetical order?

Are you talking about the Location bar where web addresses are typed and show the web page address you are viewing, or the Search bar which contains at least 5 search engines that you can select>

No. I'm talking about like when you're at Craig's List and they have a search box. It used to be in order, but I installed the latest version and now it's not in order.

I just remember that a long time ago, I asked about this and someone said I had to go into the FireFox file some where and change the setting. I can't remember if it was going into a command tool or where I don't remember. Hope this helps.....

What I'm looking for is some where in the about:config. I got that far, but don't know exactly which one I'm looking for. Hope some one knows what I'm talking about.

Sorry but that doesn't help me.

May be I can explain better. You see, in Craig's List if you type in an item that you are looking for in the Search Window, it keeps that item. Examples: I look for: Lawn Mower, or tractor, or John Deere etc. Each time I would click in the search window, it would bring those items back. Now they are randomly brought back. I would like to put them back into alphabetical order. I remember there is a setting in the about:config that has to be changed. Thx,

@ Cor-el, I reviewed the links you sent me this morning, and that first one is what I needed. Thanks for your help. Guess I was too tired last night to follow.......
