Ever since a few versions of FireFox 3.6 and also with the new FireFox 4, I notice that the History is malfunctioning: For some reason, it keeps forgetting the first page of the session. So, for example: I start at google.com And then I go to mozilla.com, I can't press the Previous button to go back to google.com.

So I have to use the History panel, sorting the pages on time visited, to go back 1 page...

This happens for every site, at any time.

This also has been hapening to me with Firefox 4. It is not restricted to the 1st page in the session though, each time I open a new tab Firefox forgets the 1st page in that new tab if I navigate away from that page.

Yes, that is what I meant actually. Because basically, when you open a new tab, you start a new session. Kinda... It's extremely annoying.

Yeah, just incredibly dumb. How was this missed in beta test?
