I just upgraded to 7.0.1, but it is being recognized as 3.5.5. What's going on?

I just updated to Firefox 7.0.1, but Google Mail is telling me I have an outdated version of Firefox and even when I go to the Mozilla site I get a message at the bottom of the screen that says I have an outdated version. I also can't install certain addons because they tell me that they don't work with 3.5.5. The version number in the browser does say 7.0.1, but it doesn't add like it.

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by addon that you installed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = general.useragent.
Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
Then restart Firefox

Thanks! That fixed it. Do you have any idea which addon might have caused the problem?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) FBSMTWB

It was the Fast Browser Search toolbar Extension that you installed back when your Firefox was 3.5.5 and it added the FBSMTWB on end and made it stay stuck as Firefox 3.5.5

Firefox 4.0 and newer does not have this user agent issue with extensions that tries to add stuff to UA.
