Why did I lose text from my buttons in Yahoo Mail after I upgraded OSX to 10.6.8?

I upgraded from OSX 10.5.8 to 10.6.8 and now when I use Yahoo Mail, some of the buttons do not display the text (e.g. Check For New Mail, Empty Spam Folder, Move Selected Emails to a New Folder). The buttons are there, but no text. This is not the case with Chrome. How can I resolve this? Eight buttons show the button, but no text within the button. If I move the mouse over the button then the text pops up.

Thanks

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
