I'm finding that FF ver 8.0.1 is automatically preventing web pages from reloading. I get the message "firefox has prevented this web page from reloading automatically" and then there is an "Allow" button. I'd like to turn this feature off. I don't remember having the problem with previous versions. There isn't an "Options" tab under "Tools" any longer so I don't know where to find the right button to stop the action.

See:

  • Firefox/Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
