I'm looking for some way (addon or something else) which makes it possible to write something to users local hd. Any workarounds?

We are developing a web-based POS-system and Firefox is our platform.

Now we need to be able somehow write some data to users local hd because one creditcard system needs it.

I'm looking for some (any) ways to do it. Add on which would let the user to write data to specified directory or some other workaround. Is there any?

Security is not thebiggest issue here, because they wouldnt access the free internet with these machines.
