How do I remove the Add-ons Manager tab that comes up every time I open Firefox

The Add-ons Manager tab comes up unsolicited. It has a little blue puzzle piece as an icon to the left of the words Add-ons Manager. It is so bothersome to have this tab show up all the time.

Make sure that you didn't inadvertently set the Addons Manager as one of your Homepages.

Thank you the-edmeister, I have been trying and trying to figure out this problem and you helped me eliminate it. I love Firefox, but I have to be honest. This problem almost made me start using IE - a really radical and unfortunate turn of events :-)
