desperate not to quit losing firefox, but i will because it's hogging my cpu so much i can't do anything! i have very few add-ons, tried everything already.
firefox was working fine until around november-december 2013. now it's crashing or hanging. nothing works to fix. tried everything already. point is, it's a firefox problem, not my computer. my laptop is less than one year old and i don't have time (i'm a student) to play around with it. it has to work.
it would be great if you'd release a better version, or a fix.

You need to do some troubleshooting and try some fixes, I doubt if your problem is with Firefox itself, and it isn't going to fix itself.
Try a new Profile and see what happens.

Do not do anything with your current Profile right now.
