Firefox not loading at all after update to 28.0 Beta 6
Running Firefox 26.0. Every time I try to update to newer version, Firefox doesn't load anything although Win 8 says it's running. I have to uninstall 28.0 and then reinstall 26.0 to get Firefox to load at all. What's the story on this?

Do you have issues with the current Firefox 27.0.1 release as well?

Can you start Firefox 28 in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift/Options key?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Indeed, version 28 is a work in progress and some of the issue are becoming finalized as we draw to the next release in a few weeks. Please try 27.01 and stay tuned for the fixes in Windows 8 Metro in version 28.
