using firefox 30 in windows 7 i get a blank page when restarting if i only have one tab open when i close.
I have my options set for firefox to "open windows and tabs from last time", but anytime I have only one tab left open, I get a blank page. If I have multiple tabs, then it opens with the tab and windows. I am running Windows 7 professional and Firefox 30. Thank you for any assistance you may offer.

There is always at least one tab open if there aren't extensions installed that hide the tab bar in that case.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

What page was displayed when you closed Firefox? The same page? Different pages?
I have ixquick set for my home page. Previously, when closing Firefox and restarting Firefox, it would open to the ixquick my home page. Now, when I start Firefox it does not open to the home page. If I have multiple tabs open when I close Firefox and restart Firefox, then it will show the tabs. It's only when I don't have tabs open that I get the blank page (instead of the home page). Note: This problem is in my Administrator account. I also have a Standard user account which opens to the home page like it should. I have compared my settings on both accounts and they are set up the same way.
Please check your settings.
Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;
Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences
Then General.
There are two settings;
- When Firefox Starts
When the browser is started, what page do you want to display. Many of us choose Show My Home Page.
- Home Page
When a new page is opened, what do you want displayed.
- Use Current Page. Use what ever page(s) are open at that time.
- Use Bookmark
- Restore To Default. about:home shows a Mozilla page with tools.
You can use any of these that you wish;
about:home (Firefox default home page), about:newtab (shows the sites most visited), about:blank (a blank page),
or you can enter any web page or about: page you want.
