A couple of days ago, (I believe after the FireFox 31 update), I noticed websites where I have multiple login accounts, I am unable to select the userID I want autofilled. eg: Say on Gmail (or yahoo mail) I have multiple user accounts. Clicking in the username field, correctly displays the list of accounts I have on that site. However, clicking on one of those IDs does not result in the name being auto-filled. I have to type in the entire ID. Sites where I only have 1 ID continue to work fine. On one "Utilities" Bill-pay site, where I used to have an old inactive ID, in addition to an active one, also would not let me pick/auto-fill the active ID. However, when I deleted the inactive ID in the dropdown, the 1 remaining ID does get auto-filled. Once the ID is filled in, the password does get auto-filled.

Any idea?

You can check if this issue is caused by an extension.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Thank you Cor-el! It worked fine in Safe Mode. So, restarted normally and looked at all of my Add-Ons. I had not installed any new ones, but noticed the Password Manager Extension addon description said it was no longer required with FF 30. So, disabled and removed it. Strange thing is, I had been on FF30 and the problem pops up with the upgrade to 31! In any case, I'm all set now. Thanks for your help!

I also had similar problem, after updating to FF31

After reading this post, I have disabled the add on "Remember Passwords 1.1"

Now its perfect.

Thanks Guys
