why can I not get my emails at different computers. When I read my messageses on my laptop at home why can't I retreive them at work
When I read emails on my home laptop I can not read them at work and vice-versa. I have friends that can read emails everywhere they go even if they have already read them.

If your Mail Configured as POP3, it downloads all the mails to the local System.
To keep a copy in local and server, you need to use IMAP
Are you configured as IMAP or POP3?
