address book locked

I have Thunderbird 31.0 ( portable) and downloaded 31.1.0 portable.

After decompressing the paf file into the folder I copied the "data" folder from 31.0 to 31.1.0.

When I open Thunderbird 31.1.0 it states the it can't load the address book because it is locked or in use. I have copied the data folder from the older versions into the newest versions before and it has transferred the info from the older version to the newest without a problem. Does anyone know what might be worng?

That sounds like this bug.

As usual, before going any further and trying anything, please make a backup of your profile. Did I mention a backup would be ideal? Oh, and please make a backup of your profile.

Among the last comments there is a suggestion to recreate the panacea.dat file in your profile.

This is done automatically next time you start Thunderbird, and is a safe operation (search for "panacea" on this page).
