Firefox confirms my username on email but online it won't work

I asked firefox to confirm my Username. The email I received stated that my USERNAME was; zq@abby07.plus.com When I try to log in Firefox tells me that the Username contain characters that are not allowed.

How can this be resolved ? John Beadle
