Recent security alert on my account, changed p/w yesterday but i've either forgotten it or it's just not letting me receive any emails

As mentioned, i received numerous emails last night detailing that my account (kristie_027@hotmail.com) had likely been activated from a source other than myself, i followed all the instructions to change my password due to such breach but am now unable to log in. Unsure if I have forgotten the password or it's just not working.
