When I receive an email from a known source, which might be telling me that it has changed its email address or which might be from a source which is only now joining the set of email users, how do I use Mozilla Thunderbird to extract the source's email address and put into my Mozilla ThunderBird Address Book. Do I have to do this manually, or is there a aspect of ThunderBird which I can use to semi-automate the Address Book entry?

To the right of the senders address in the header there is a star. If the star is not filled with color it is not in your address book. Click the star to add it. When the star is filled with color click it to open the edit dialog box to add or change the contact. This is NOT the same star to the left of the message in the Inbox.
