Sent folder is full so unable to send message, but sent folder is nearly empty and has been repaired / compacted?

Unlike the other thread in which this was resolved by compacting folders, this still has not resolved the issue. I have updated Thunderbird, repaired and compacted the folder with no results.

Is there another place I can compact from that might be more robust other than just right clicking the folder and selecting Compact?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You could try rebuilding the Sent folder according to these instructions:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Compacting_folders#Real_fix

Essentially, you copy the messages to another folder, exit TB, delete Sent and Sent.msf, then restart TB to have a new Sent folder created automatically.
