On my keyboard are blue letters. These come up when I write instead of the question mark, I get the E' or e' that is in blue. How do I fix this? I think I might have hit something that changed it, but don't know what. The ? comes up fine in my wordpad, and here. But when I write an email, it does not.

Some laptops have a "Fn" key you can hold down to enter alternate characters. As with the Ctrl key, if a program is confused about whether the key is on or off, it sometimes helps to tap and release that key several times. In extreme cases, you might need to restart the system.

Thank you for your help. As I looked at my keyboard, I don't have an "Fn" key, but I do have an F1 key with a ? in a square. I hit that and it corrected the problem. The symbols in blue on the keys are different ones, and I suppose they can be used if needed. I then noticed on my cell phone text area that if I hit the 1/2 symbol twice I come up with the same different symbols. Being computer challenged (and older) I learn things every day.
