downloading failed again and again when retry

i m downloading a 8.9gb file. my file stopped downloading at 7.6gb. it certainly stopped at some speed and after sometime failed. after retrying downloading, same problem is occurring again and again

Did you make sure that there is enough free space on the hard drive, at least twice the file count on the system drive (temp folder; %TMP%)?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
