The upgrade to 43.0.1 broke New Tab Override ext. Will it be corrected?

I want my new tab to open to the page (site) I want. Not a page of icons. First we lost the ability to use "about,com" to do this. Now 43.0.1 has broken the "New Tab Override" extension.

I see I am not the only one that wants this. Please fix.

Hello BillCusitar, update the New Tab Override (browser.newtab.url replacement) to newest 2.2 version, before two hours the developer release the new version, and you are OK again.
