Firefox flashes on the screen of this laptop (HP Pavilion using Windows 7 Home Premium) and has not bee usable. Why?
I had Firefox working for a time. Then it started screen flashing. I unloaded the program and reinstalled without any success in stopping the flashing to get the program usable. What can be done to sole this situation?

hello, maybe that's an issue with hardware acceleration - please try updating your graphics driver, or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).
