In Every 7 days I have to update Firefox and it takes about 10 minutes to update and it takes another 10 minutes to get back to my working state also we have to continuously update flash player which is also annoying. In Chrome we don't need to update flash player as it is Inbuilt in it.Also its updates comes less frequently and it takes less time to update chrome. I admire the work done by the Mozilla foundation from the time of Netscape and I don't want you to be behind Google Chrome in terms of innovation and user-experience.

Yes the Beta channel you are Testing Firefox on gets say six to twelve builds for a version. The current Beta build for Firefox 46.0 that is currently on Beta channel is 46.0b4.

If you do not want to be a Tester then use the Release as current is 45.0.1 from www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

It is possible you installed a Beta version instead of Release and was not aware and continued getting updates since. If the Firefox setup file has a b# (where # is a number) after version then it is a Beta build.

You are using Firefox 46.0 beta, which gets updated weekly or semi-weekly.

The Firefox 45.0 Release version is available here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

There are normally two updates per week on the beta update channel (Wednesday and Friday/Saturday), so if you only update once a week then you miss out on one update and you will have to download and install the full version.

Any specific reason to use the beta version and not the release version of Firefox?

I will switch to Release, thanks for pointing out that but I think there is no solution for frequent flash updates.

Google Chrome needs to update with every Flash update because it comes with its own Flash plugin. For Firefox you need to update the Flash plugin yourself manually, either in the plugin or by installing the new version and that is only a few MB.

There are many problems in installing flash player especially if your content is filtered by a proxy server:- 1)Abode website does not open properly. 2)If you download flash installer exe file most of the time there are errors and ultimately you can't update flash player. 3)Offline Installer are not easily available. 4)Too frequent flash update needed.
