Adobe's help site flashes every few seconds, and has triggered another of my migraines. Obviously I can't report the problem on that site. I don't know whether it was hacked by greifers or designed that way.

Sorry about this. Please note that Mozilla is not responsible for the maintenance or development of Adobe products or their website.

Does this issue occur on other internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.)?

If this issue is only on Firefox, please try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

You will need to restart Firefox for this to take effect so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options on Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.
  2. Select the Advanced panel and then the General tab.
  3. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

I would be risking another migraine if I tried to test the site, to see if other settings or other browsers could help. I keep graphics acceleration off, of course.

Sorry that this website has caused you issues. Unfortunately, if you are unable to troubleshoot this issue, there isn't much else that we can do on our end because he cannot confirm that this issue is related to Firefox or if it is a general website issue. The issue does not occur on my end and I am unable to reproduce the issue.

I also have "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" checked. I'm not getting any such warnings when it flashes. Does this rule out automatic reloads as a cause of the flashes? Is there anything else that can cause such flashes?

I get a blank page with Javascript disabled, a major improvement over a migraine.

Maybe check in the Network Monitor or Web Console ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Web Developer) to see what request are send to the Adobe server.

I opened the instructions in one tab, and the network monitor there. I opened the Adobe support site and returned to the first safe tab to monitor the results, but I'm not getting any results.

Is there any way to check malfunctions in one tab from another tab?

That would be consistent with what I see in the Network Monitor, but I'm not seeing any flickering in Linux on those Adobe web pages.

It is possible that an extension is causing this, so maybe see if Safe Mode makes a difference.
