Can I get rid of the line of email notices at the top of the Inbox page?
Sometimes there are 5 - 6 open emails strung out at the top of the Inbox page. I didn't leave them open. I don't want them open. It's a pain to close all of them. This is not useful. I've tried to find a "settings" to correct this but have been unable to do so. What can I do to eliminate all these open emails?

If you did not leave the messages open in a tab someone else did. That is the only way they get there.
For now right click one of them and select Close Other Tabs. Then get in the habit of closing message tabs after you are done with them.
