RETR errors
I have been getting the annoying RETR errors for a little over a week now. TWC was working on their email server and had some issues, but they claim it's all ok now. I tried deleting the popstate.dat file and thought that worked, but it only downloaded the messages that had come it over a several day period when it was actually working. Can I uninstall Thunderbird altogether and reinstall or will I lose everything?

Thunderbird separates the program installation and the profile holding all your data. You can reinstall Thunderbird without losing your profile, unless you deliberately tell it to delete the profile. However you'd just waste your time, since reinstalling won't touch the profile.
