Why do I receive notices that Javascript is disabled despite being enabled in about:config and Toggle Javascrpt Enabled
Why do I receive notices complaining that Javascript is disabled despite it being enabled in about:config and the Toggle Javascrpt Enabled ad-on?
(I'm using the most recent version of Firefox for Android on my tablet and running Android 6.0.1.)
Might it have something to do with my running the noScript and ABlocker Ultimate ad-ons at the same time? Or might I have turned off crucial parts of Javascript by toggling the second and third line of the Javascript section of the about:config file from "yes: to "false" completely accidentally?
Could someone look at the javascript section in their about:config file and confirm that "Javascript.options.asmjs" and "Javascrpt.options.asncstack" should both be set to "false."
Thanks in advance for your help.

Does this problem occur on numerous sites or are there just a few problem sites?

I don't think there's a version of the NoScript extension for Firefox on Android. Could you check that again?
Site that do not like ad blockers may throw up odd messages when they are detected. Have you tried making an exception for the site when you see the problem?

I have:
- javascript.options.asmjs => true
- javascript.options.asyncstack => false
You can tell if a preference has been customized because a "Reset" button will appear next to the current value.

Thanks so much! I think changing the values of the javascript.options.asmjs line from false to true solved my problem
And yes, NoScript has had an android version since 2003. Just search for "install NoScript" and keep looking for a link to the Android install site.

Is it this one that's in Alpha release? https://noscript.net/nsa/ Interesting...
I'm not certain if the Alpha version is all there is. If you keep scrolling down the page, I think you should find a link for installing a stable Android version.
I think there is a later then Alpha version of NoScript. Just scroll down the site, and I think you will find a link to install a more mature version.
