Why is my signature file not working?

I've set up Thunderbird to attach a signature file for HTML but when I write a new email there's no signature at all. I've unchecked and rechecked the box to attach the signature but it's not working. And of course, it's not possible to manually attach it, either.

Any ideas?

ok can you upload the file to drop box or onedrive or the like and post a link to it here on the forum so we can have a look at it.
