July 20, 2017 Verizon stops email. I use Thunderbird with verizon.net address. Can I still use this on T-bird AFTER verizon stops email?
I have used Thunderbird for several years with the @verizon.net address and had no problems. As you know, verizon is stopping the email account as of 6/20/17. Can I still keep using the same address on Thunderbird after this date? Not sure after reading their notice. Please advise.

Hi
If the underlying email service will no longer be in operation, you will not be able to use it to send and receive emails through Thunderbird.
Email addresses are provided by email providers. Ask your provider what your options are.
If you currently have your Verizon account set up as POP in TB and want to keep it that way, it's only necessary to change the password in TB.
If you want to switch to IMAP, follow these instructions to set it up in TB.
