When I right click on say a jpg / photo file on my Mac desktop it used to say send to and I could select email recipiant. That option is no longer there now I am using Thunderbird. I have set mail (the Mac version ) to Thunderbird but not having any luck.

I'm not a Mac user, but it's possible that an OS X update reset your Services Preferences.
