Just got new Thunderbird and the "insert" button has disappeared.
I want to be able to insert pictures into the body of text. So how do I get this function back please?

I'm not sure. The menu and mail toolbars are both activated. I checked out the folder pane toolbar -- and it didn't solve the problem. So, short answer, I THINK the toolbar is available -- but button is gone.
Are you composing in Plain Text? Plain Text is just that. All text no images. If you hold the Shift key when clicking the Write button is Insert there?
