How do I specify target calendar when accepting event notifications?

I am running Thunderbird 52.7.0 and have several CalDAV calendars set up with "Read only" unchecked and offline mode enabled.

An annoying problem I have is that when I receive an event notification from someone else and I accept it, I am not given a choice in the pop-up dialog box of which calendar I want that event to go to! The most relevant thread I've found is from many years ago: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1691595 Which didn't provide a concrete answer.

Also, after the event has been added, it's property window also doesn't show an option to move it to another calendar!

How do I solve this so that I can specify which calendar an event goes to once I've accepted it? Thank you.

Thanks @Matt for your response, but that's exactly the problem. I don't want my calendar events to be tied into specific email addresses.

However, I think I found a workaround: Keep the email field empty/i.e. don't choose an email for that calendar. After setting it that way, when I accept a meeting notification I'm then presented with a choice of which calendar to put it into!

you have associated an email address with each calendar to send invites. that same information is used to put the mail into the calendar.
