I'm using Debian Linux. My Firefox browser was downloaded from Mozilla. Not installed from a distro repository.

I have the option "Restore previous session" checked.

Also, I'm using the new Firefox extension: Firefox Multi-Account Containers. Disabling this extension does not solve the problem

Terribly sorry. I had somehow an open window in a different desktop. This is why the session suddenly was not restored.
