I'm developing a REST web service. My debugger is configured to use HTTPS utilizing a self certified certificate. Whenever I try to access my web service, Firefox shows an error.

How can I configure Firefox to not check SSL certificates when accessing localhost (and only localhost)?

Your answers are appreciated.

Firefox is very strict when it comes to self signed certificates.

Can you make an exception via "Advanced" (Erweitert) ?

Where can I find this "Advanced" section?

In FF there's only an Advanced button to control font settings (see screenshot attached).

Would you want to share a screenshot with the suggested settings?

That is about the Advanced button on the error page as shown in the first screenshot and not about the about:preferences page although you can add an exception in the Certificate Manager.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Certificates: View Certificates -> Servers

Unfortunately, this doesn't solve the issue of the warning page appearing over and over again.

So there currently is no developer option that's pretending all certificates presented by localhost on any port are valid?
