Widevine CDM Update Schedule
Widevine will revoke Widevine Content Decryption Module which is earlier than ver 4.10.2209.0. https://www.widevine.com/news
Google has already released new version of CDM. However, the version on Firefox 88.0b7 is still 4.10.1582.2. You can check on the following menu: [Add-ons and Themes]>[Plugin]>[Widevine Content Decryption Module]
My questions are: 1. When is new Widevine CDM coming to Firefox? 1. Can Add-on Manger provide this update to older Firefox?

Hi, our media team says that the plugin will be updated. Users on older versions of Fx may experience interruptions, but supported versions of Fx should receive the new plugin prior to support being dropped.
Thank you for your reply. Do you have a specific schedule? I need to check new one before the revocation of previous versions because this update is related to some vulnerabilities.
No, there's no specific schedule (at least, that is available for me). I just asked on internal chat and this is all the info I get.
Thanks. I'll keep this question open until CDM updated.
I've found ver. 4.10.2209.1 has come beta channel. I'll close this question.
Hi, I've checked Widevine Content Decryption Module ver. 4.10.2209.1 and found a critical issue.
When Widevine license restricts output protection as HDCP_V1 required, playback area turn black after a few seconds even if all displays meet the requirements. Chrome and Edge has no problem in the same device with the same license settings. I found 4.10. 2209.1 is available on stable channel if users install Firefox newly at least. Please check this situation and consider to stop providing 4.10.2209.1 on the add-on manager.
I'll report this issue to Google Widevine team after this post.
