I'm not sure why this is different between Windows and Mac. On Mac, this should follow a system setting called "Full Keyboard Access." If that isn't working, you can override it by changing this preference. I think. (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter/Return.
