Suddenly, this morning, scanning my inbox, no messages are previewed. In the preview pane, there is only the header, and that is in an unnaturally large font family.

The header area will be slightly larger when there is a "Reply to" element.

Also you might have zoomed it with control-plus or something similar. You can size it down with control-minus.
