I have received two emails from Sky regarding updating my Sky ID on my iPhone to enable continuing use of Yahoo emails. However, when I click on the link given there is a Google error message denying access owing to a violation of Terms of Service. This means I am unable to update and could have future problems with access to Yahoo emails on my iPhone. Can you help? Alan Warburton.

Hi Alan, are you sure it's a real message and not a phishing attack? I ask that because there's no obvious reason for Google to be involved in this request.

The first rule for dealing with emails like you describe is never click on links in such an email, but visit or contact the source/website directly and verify that this is valid as trusted websites would never ask you to click a link or edit credentials.
