zzxc: FireFox hangs on opening requiring force quit I have snow leopard mac and tried terminal from your web page but did not get the box as shown

Firefox does not open in safe mode and from the menu bar it will not quit ...... I have to go to the dock and right clic to force quit.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, to try terminal as instructed
It will not open in safe mode
What now ?

Try doing a "clean install" of Firefox:
- Force quit Firefox
- Drag Firefox (in Applications) to Trash, and empty trash
- Download Firefox again from http://www.mozilla.com and re-install.
