I will be browsing the web in multiple tabs, not windows, and sometimes (it happens way to often!) I will click on a tab to switch my view to that tab and it will open it in a new window and it will no longer be in the previous window. It is so annoying! How can I disable this or why is it doing it? To re-create what it is doing simply right click on a tab and select open in new window. That is exactly what it does but it happens when i left click on a tab to change my view to that tab. Please Help!

Firefox 3.5/6 versions have a feature called tear-off tabs. You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window. You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.
