I am a new Firefox user (version 3.6.14). I have a pop-up called "Apture."
How did I get it?
What is it?
How do I uninstall it?
I have five extension installed:

Apture is not a pop-up but an extension. Are you talking about this :
Apture Highlights- (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/apture-highlights/) ???
To uninstall this, open Firefox Extensions, select Apture Highlights or Apture and click Remove.

OK, so where is Apture, I mean does it appear on webpages, pop-up adds Firefox menus or where ?
When I go to this page http://www.komando.com/tips/index.aspx?id=2735 and I try to highlight and copy the phrase "The truth about Internet cookies", a search window pops up powered by Apture.
The page has the following text in it.

On this window http://www.komando.com/tips/index.aspx?id=9508 when I highlight the title, it pops up a small window that says "Learn more."
Well, Apture Highlights does the same thing. (Highlight a phrase and it will give information).
It can a that a website uses Apture. See their offer. It was why I was searching for help .It was just one webpage but as i just installed a progam, i thought it was because of that...
